Washington County, Oregon’s great farming history through pictures

They say Oregon has a great history, and nothing says that better than the Barns of Washington County. They say a picture can tell say a thousand words, but I really wish these old barns could talk. Some of these old barns have been around since the gold rush. Others have seen their owners through world wars, the great depression, and other world conflicts. Yet, they still stand and do their job, not all of them look as good as the day they were built, but just the same, they are beautiful.

I love nothing more than driving around on a Sunday afternoon and just looking at some of the history that Oregon has on these old farms. Some have been owned by the same families for more than 100 years. I'm listening to some of these pictures, but still would love to hear more.

Todd - I love these pictures, and the slide-show is a great way to display them. Thank you. I have been taking about 50 pictures a day lately! There is just so much to capture and share. It is fun to share Oregon with everyone out there!

Linda - There is nothing like driving down these old roads during the summer and picking up Sweet Oregon Corn at 10 for $1! Just makes for a wonderful day!

Candy - My dad since retiring as a teacher has taken up photography and took these and I will pass that on to him how much you liked the photos.

Eugene - If you are taking that many pictures, please stay away for the college. There are just some things I don't need to see - lol

Kathy - Finding a home like this for sale is a rare and then when they do you are upwards of $900,00, but if you want I will find you something in that range!
