105 Comments on The Most Common Mistakes I See in People's Homes - Part 1
Hi Shar~ Most of us just don't know any better. Most of my furniture is pushed up against the wall. Ooops!
It looks great....I even think I hear the room and furnishings having a warm conversation about how important they feel since you rearranged them! We await Part II...Carolyn Huggins
Do try it Dee Dee!
Ha, trying pulling it out a little Donna and see how you like it.
I am sure they are so much happier being together. LOL
Great example thanks for sharing, I have even had discussions with my grown kids about
moving their furntiure out from the walls some but no way:)
Kids never listen to their Mom! Show them my blog post. LOL
This is so true...a realtor our company works with quite a bit always knows when he comes back furniture will more likely be floating somewhere. He knows we love angles! Great things to share...educating one person at a time!
Shar, some really great tips and saw your part 2, now subscribed and ready for more!
Good thing he knows what to expect Julie. Good furniture arrangement is key!
Thank you Ellen, I really appreciate that. Two more parts to this series coming next week.
Hey Shar~ We were out previewing homes for a new listing this morning and I notice a family room where the furniture was arranged just the way you suggested. I immediately thought of your post and decided the sellers MUST have hired a professional stager!
Great advice for furniture placement...it really does make rooms cozier when the furniture is pulled away from the wall and allows closer proximity for conversation.
I am sure they did Donna if it looked fabulous. LOL.. So glad you remembered my post!
Thanks much Teri!
It makes such a huge difference Patricia.
From Grandma to Great! Love also the neutral palette with the pop of RED!
Another great point Shar!
Thanks Kathy.
You are so kind Rebecca.
Great tips. It is so hard to think outside the box on these types of things. Wish I had the hack for you it. Love the pics to show the difference.
Thanks so much Cheryl.
Shar, this is really good stuff. I've only now discovered your blog. You have great sensibilities and are able to envision simple corrections that make a huge difference. I like it! Brian
Thanks Brian. Glad you found my posts helpful.
