Statcounter I found because Google Analytics just suddenly stopped reporting data on my sites. In any event, the incident put me out on the hunt for something similar. I just love finding that alternative product being maintained by that small core group of developers that have their hearts in their product. I believe that is the case with StatCounter, I have had no issues with StatCounter and the information is straight and to the point and gives me what I need on regular, set by me intervals, through email. They offer so many features that I have to admit I have not  had time to "play" with them all and utilize the product to it's fullest. I mean really, take a look at just a few options, recent keyword activity, popular sites, email reports, and the list goes on and on. Pretty comprehensive information. This is one site you should definitely try.


Topsy

Topsy is a realtime search engine for social media sites, it really doesn't have anything to do with website maintainence, but it is way cool, and I couldn't not talk about it. That meaning that Topsy ranks results on what is being talked about real time by the millions of users from social media sites all over the world. How does this help you the blogger, think about it, you can search by relevant terms and find out real time what is the "hot topics" are, then blog accordingly, unlike trends, or lists, this information is completely real time. Don't think that will give you instant Google juice, think again. Type in your name and see results in hour, day , week, and month incremints. This is a site that is one of those that puts our brains to the test, very useful but we need to be thinking about how it will best work for us Realtors.
