Big trees in Oregon

This tree is actually small compared to many in Oregon, the sad loss we had here in Oregon last year was during one of our bigger storms we lost the largest spruce tree in the world.  But, we still have big trees here as demonstrated by my son. Where is your Texas?

Wow, that one is huge! It's always sad when storms or insects destroy our trees...especially ones with so large and beautiful. Just looking at makes you feel like you have experianced history.

My kids were born in Florida, lots of sand, highest elevation in state is a bridge and palm trees galore.  we spent 3 years living in Seattle and visited Oregon many times.  Shock is the only word I can use to describe their first visit to mountains and huge trees!

That is a very very big tree.  I hope no one comes along and decides to make this one into a coffee table.

Todd, we lost a really, really old tree when it got struck by lightning last year.  These old trees are pretty special.
