Happy equals Healthy!

I recently read a great article that talked about the benefits of living in a happy state of mind.  Here are a few ways that many of us keep ourselves happy and healthy!

1. WE TALK ON THE PHONE AND LOVE TO VISIT!

Statistics have revealed that speaking with friends on a regular basis have positive physiological results when it comes to lowering blood pressure, and cortisol levels!  People who socialize tend to live longer, keep their brains sharp and lessen their chance of heart attack!  Give me the phone!!!!

2. WE LIVE IN GRATITUDE... DAILY!

It is very hard to stay resentful or bitter if we are focusing on all that we have to be thankful for!  Writing down our feelings of gratitude help manifest those feelings into optimism and hope.  I, personally, am thankful that you are reading this right now!  MMMMUAH!

3. WE ALWAYS TRY TO BE RANDOMLY KIND

It feels great to try to make others feel great!  Have you tried that lately?  If you have...doesn't it make you want more?  Freely giving, with no expectation of something in return, can be incredibly rewarding in so many more ways than one.  Try it!  You might love it!  My experience has been that the payback greatly exceeds the small amount of effort I have given it.  The benefits are beautiful, simply .... beautiful.

4. WE TAKE OUR OWN INVENTORY... REGULARLY

It's important that we clean up our side of the street.  Reappraisal of our lives can have great benefits as we move forward on our spiritual paths and taking our past experience, even our struggles and challenges, and using them as opportunities to improve are wonderful tools.  Think of each mistake or error as a way not to do it next time (whatever it is) so that you are always fine tuning your future for success!  The minute I begin to focus on my neighbors challenges or I start to notice what I think they might need to work on is a huge clue that I have some cleaning to do!  Hey... what's going on in my OWN backyard?

I know many of my friends and family get tired of my cheery "glass is half full" or, "quite often overflowing" attitude. I also know that I can be overly optimistic by constantly looking for the "good" in everything but... man, it is a great way to live.  The Universal Law of Relativity states that everything is what it is by comparison to something else.  If something is really bad then it can only be bad because it is compared to something really GOOD!  That allows me the opportunity to find the very best in the very worst.  Try it... you might love it!

Thoughts are really and truly things!  Science proves it to be true!  How about we choose the greatest thoughts we can muster up!

CHEERS TO US!
