Wickford Village RI 02852 - Daffodil Days of Spring - Festival
Extraordinaire. It is happening this weekend in the waterfront historic community of within Wickford VillageNorth Kingstown RI that the yellow blooms of daffodils will be exposed to all to enjoy. It is April 30th, Saturday and May 1st, Sunday that the revelry and excitement takes hold in this tiny coastal town. So it is a stop on your way to anywhere I might add. Besides the walks through the Wickford side streets and viewing the Wickford homes for sale, there are many activities planned for all visitors to enjoy, here are a few:
Friday: Kick-off party at Voila on West Main Street for the artist Marianne Boucher from 6-8 p.m.
Saturday:
1 p.m. the Rhode Island Highlanders Pipe Band throughout the Wickford Village
2 p.m. the Fashion Show at Updike Park
3 p.m. a Walking Tour of Wickford with noted historian Timothy Cranston. Tour starts at the First Baptist Church on Main Street.
Sunday: Noon- the Daffy Dog Parade begins at Saint Paul's Parish Hall.
All pups must be leashed and will be rewarded with a treat.
Children's local artwork will be on display in all the storefront windows. It is truly a family event in the Wickford Village this weekend.
This event is not to be missed and will not disappoint. Even the weather is expected to be beautiful here in Wickford Village. So come out with your family and walk a bit around the village center and take the memory photos of the day. The restaurants and unique shops will all be open for you and your family to enjoy. Daffodil Days only happens once a year in Wickford so please make it a point to visit our treasured historic waterfront community. You will not be disappointed!
