Friday's Photos…
The photo pictured below is nothing new. I posted a similar photo about a year or so ago when I returned from a seminar in Vegas where I had the opportunity to meet fellow Rainers - Robert (Vegas Bob) A.Swetz and John Novak.
If you look closely, there are three things unique about this picture. The first thing you may notice is the lack of traffic along the Vegas Strip. Yes, the old shutterbug was up at the "whee" hours of the morn, gear in tow, dazed and totally confused, wandering somewhere behind the pixels as I am prone to do.
The next thing you may notice is the rare fog enveloping the town. From what I understood from the locals, I got lucky and rolled the proverbial "7's" on this one. I wish I had the same luck in the casino's.
The 3rd thing I do not expect you to notice. Quite frankly, you won't. The photo you are looking at is actually being hosted on my website RadnorLakePhotography.com/Blogs/MyBlogHome. There is some madness in my method here.
Drawing on the popularity and SEO capability of ActiveRain, coupled with the theory of deep linking back into your own site - to help boost your rankings, organically, I devised a simple embed code. If you click on the photo, it will launch so you can see the original size. If you REALLY want to know how I did this, let me know and I'll write a post about it. If not, it will be just my little secret and I won't share. Y'all have a great Friday...
Michael, Definitely a rarity on multiple fronts! The traffic on the strip was always intense, glad we didn't drive much on our visits!
Hi Michael.... Good looking picture !!! Yes, tell us ..... We need some of your knowledge !!
Wow...that is a great shot, again and again you do that! Love it and have a wonderful friday and weekend!
Good job hosting your photos on your new and always improving web site Michael. And, as always, great job with this, and all your photos. I think you're getting the hang of this photography thing!
Hello Michael and Vegas Bob appreciates the mention and looks forward to meeting you again. That is a very unusual, strange looking photograph for Las Vegas, I love the fog and the red color. Let VB share a little something with fellow Rainer's ... the shorter building in the middle with some blue glass in it is called the Harmon Tower located in MGM City Center. It is vacant and in a law suit because of the re-bar in the cement specs being wrong, this Harmon Tower will be tore down in the future. VB worked for a company for 2 years that installed all the glass in the Harmon Tower.
Once again Michael a very wonderful capture of the Las Vegas "STRIP" ...
Vegas Bob ;o)
PS - Your wonderful photo has been featured at one of my favorite groups at AR ...

Michael: As usual I'm your evening visitor. Since I have never been to Vegas I'll have to take your word that it is unusual to see just two people walking the strip and very little traffic. Maybe everyone was in the casinos loosing their money while you were outside taking a great photo.
Hi Michael, I am long past due for a visit to this fun place. LV would be heaven for some amazing photos. Been too many years. A wonderful capture Michael.

Curious minds want to know... I hope to get the answer soon!
You are always so amazing!

Michael, very cool photo. Not used to seeing the strip with no traffic. Do share how you linked back to your website. On IE it looks like a regularly umbedded photo with no link back.
