A Realtor and Michael Vick

What do I have in common with Michael Vick and it has nothing to do with dogs?

Isn't the stadium for the "Big Game" in February in Glendale, Arizona beautiful? It is state-of-the-art and the playing field is grass but is rolled outside to get sunlight for best growth. Then it is rolled back into the stadium when needed. It is one of a kind so far.

But back to my question, what do I have in common with Michael Vick? The answer is. we are both in trouble with the NFL. Yep, I used a picture about Big Game 42 on my blog on ActiveRain and I received an 8 page letter telling me to remove it immediately. I had to laugh because I would have thought that "additional" free advertising on my part would help the NFL, however, they did not see it that way.

My second thought was YIPPEE! Why, you wonder? Well, if a billion dollar industry can find my blog and and web page then perhaps those sellers and buyers can find me as well. Even though I can't use a picture of the "BIG GAME 42" I can still lease a beautiful home for those of you coming to the game or perhaps special clients that want the best accommodations in the Valley of the Sun.

Good for you Gaylen.  The google juice of ActiveRain is so darn juicy that I am drinking it with breakfast.

It is amazing that someone has the time on their hands to do that.  I don't get it, never have, never will.

Gaylen, it's a great comment that we little folks can be noticed right up there with the big boys.  BTW, that's a great photo - did you use stitching software?

Brian - yes - I thought it turned out quite well and I hope the No Fun League doesn't mind.

Yes, the NFL is so big for their britches I think they need NO help!  Las Vegas venues are CONSTANTLY in trouble.  A couple years ago there was a bruhaha with the NFL/large casinos for advertising Superbowl Parties and the NFL wanted them to give them a cut because people CHARGE per person for these parties.

Stupid, huh?

I am glad to see that you have your humor and can move on with this issue and see the good out of it.

I wonder how much it cost them the put together a legal team to draft that letter!  I bet you caused the legal department to have an all night meeting to discuss how to tackle the infringement.  Quiet impressive!

Renee - Like the NFL needs more money, right! It is crazy.

Susan - I did think it was humorous, cause I'm just a little guy. I'm still laughing about the whole thing.

Chad- I'm sure it cost them a ton with a fancy Harvard lawyer just to smack down my little picture on ActiveRain. Can you imagine how many times a letter like I got goes out? Wow!

Gaylen,  I flew down to see the stadium last November and watch the Seahawks game and was a little disappointed. I can't quite pinpoint what it was, but there was a strange feel in the air in the stadium. My biggest complaint was the fact that the roof was closed. I heard that they have never opened it for a game before. The weather was 75 degrees and sunny. Seemed like a perfect day for outdoor football.

Back to your "legal" problem. The NFL has too much time on their hands. How did they ever find your blog and why would they care? It seems crazy to me too.

KC - You are right they have WAY to much time on their hands!
