A Little Joy In The Midst Of Tragic Events.......

Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Advantage South

I loved watching William and Kate's wedding.  It was a very welcome relief and temporary escape from all the sorrow that our neighbors and too many others across the region are dealing with right now.

The outpouring of concern for my family and friends.....all the emails, text messages and phone calls have meant more than you can know and have touched me deeply.  We are fine, but each day we learn about another community that was devastated, or someone who knows someone that has been found dead or is still missing, or a family that is left with nothing.

So it was nice to experience a little joy and beauty in the pageantry of the royal wedding.  The music was very uplifting to me and I thought this piece, Paul Mealor's Ubi Caritas, was especially moving and peaceful.  I hope you enjoy it too.

Very peaceful singing Ann, thanks for finding that, and I wish you well in Birmingham, Jefferson County, and all Alabama in the aftermath of the tornadoes.

Ann, That was beautiful!  It has been so tragic to hear what your state has been going through.  Strange weather patterns aren't they!! Our state is so dry that we have had bunches of fires but not that tragic loss of life.

Hi Ann, the song is so beautiful.  I hope everyone can find and enjoy those quiet moments of respite in the aftermath of the storms and it was fun watching parts of the wedding yesterday and poking fun at some of the hats :-)  shame on me, I know!

Ann, I will never understand all the “royalty stuff” but I do understand the inner peace we feel when we focus on what makes us feel good. Thanks for sharing this. We all need to feel inner peace and love.

Thanks, Ann.  I had missed this part.  There's nothing like a beautiful hymn like this to lift our hearts.

Take care and all the best.

How are things today in the aftermath of the Tornadoes? I was overseas and didn't even hear about it over there. Isn't that sad.

I hope the people who have been impacted are getting the help they need. Has NAR done anything?

The hymns are beautiful. I wish you had PA systems or something like that posted around town for all the people to hear. Perhaps it would lift someone's spirits.

Now that the weeks have gone by, how are things different? Or are they the same?
