Moms and Dad's,
A Little Something to Think About
Right Before Mother's & Father's Day.
Well, since I reblogged that tutorial on how to create a picnik.com collage written by Kathy Neilson, I have been wanting to create a collage. I thought Mother's day would be the perfect holiday to try this out.
This first collage was supposed to be a collage of each of my generations. My Grand~Mother & I, My Mother & I, My son & daughter and I, then My Grand~Daughter & I. Here's where the "Little something to think about" comes in. I do not have one single photo of my mom & I. Sure, she passed away, but she was 50 when she died. I should have at least one photo with her right? Well, you would think so! But I don't. Now I have to admit,... I hate photo's of myself. Further more, I am usually the one holding the camera. So there are not a lot of photo's of myself and my children. That has got to change! So,... today I take the first step towards that change!
The second collage is for my Destiny!
I hate a lot of these photo's. All I see are my flaws. My crazy wild hair, my acne scars, how fat I was throughout her life,...etc,. etc,. etc,.!
But,... that is not what Destiny will see.
Destiny will see that I was always there for her. She will see that I let her have purple hair. She will see that I let her sit up high on scaffolding and work with me. She will be reminded of our favorite trips all over the country (especially our favorite ~ San Diego). Destiny will be reminded of the life we had and the love we shared.
So,... fat or thin, brunette or blonde, strait hair or curley, makeup or not, and with all my imperfections and flaws I will make sure she and my children have photo's to remember me by.
If you do not have enough photo's of you and your loved ones to at the very least make a collage,.. now is the best time to start!
Don't forget;
Mother's Day is next Sunday May 8th
and
Father's Day is Sunday June 19th.
