You know you live in a small town when getting a Starbuck's is a really big deal.
Yep, Crescent City is a happening place. Last October we had the grand opening of our Home Depot and this October we broke ground on a Starbuck's. The Starbuck's building is also going to house U.S. Cellular according to the worker's that I interviewed.
I have also heard scuttlebutt that Crescent City is getting a Walgreen's. Wow! How exciting is that? I guess the big corporations have found that Del Norte County is worthy of investing their resources.
As exciting as the Home Depot grand opening and Starbuck's building is, the excitement doesn't compare to that every person in our county must feel at seeing the old Square Deal building get renovated.

To say the Square Deal Building was blight would be a gross understatement and besmirches the good name of blight everywhere. It has been a huge eye soar for the past several years in the middle of town on Highway 101, awaiting it's fate through endless rounds of court proceedings. Finally, a buyer stepped forward to rid Del Norte County of this ugliness and is turning it into a retail mall. The contractor has done a few other renovations that have taken blight and made it beautiful, so I am looking forward to seeing the end result.

If Home Depot and Starbuck's think Del Norte County is happening enough to invest in, maybe you should too. Give me a call and I'll tell you why.
Why move to Del Norte County: No traffic, no smog, nice people, relaxing commute, fishing, surfing, hiking, bird watching, laying on the beach, kayaking, wind surfing, boating, hunting, yachting, rafting, no drought, fresh tuna, fresh salmon...
