May Happenings in Canton MA
Yesterday I started my series of 31 Things to do In Canton MA this May with two events. Today, I have 2 more suggestions of things to do for tomorrow, Tuesday May 3rd in Canton MA and one suggestion for tonight.
Conditioning Hike in the Blue Hills:
If you are a hiker or are looking for some conditioning training, the Appalachian Mountain Club and Friends of the Blue Hills are offering Conditioning Hikes on Tuesdays in May in the Blue Hills Reservation. The hikes run from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. If you are interested, you can make a reservation by sending an email to ken@friendsofbluehills.org. If you are unable to make this hike, remember that the Blue Hills offer great hiking every day of the week! The trails are marked and easy to follow. They are a great recreational resource located right in Canton MA and Milton MA.
Story Time at the Canton Public Library:
Are you the parent of a pre-schooler between the ages of 2 1/2 and 5 1/2? The Canton Public Library offers Story Time for pre-schoolers every Tuesday through June 3rd at 10:30 am. No registration is necessary. When my children were little, this was a favorite activity of ours! Of course, the library has been completely renovated and expanded since that time so it is probably better than ever!
Annual Town Meeting:
Finally, if you already live in Canton MA and are a registered voter, remember that the third and final night of Annual Town Meeting is tonight at 7:00 pm at Canton High School. There is a reconsideration vote of the local meals tax option - should be interesting!
There are always activities going on for young and old alike in Canton MA. Stay tuned for the next installment as I try to reach 31 events and activities in Canton MA this May!!
