Strawberry Pie
Guys I can safely say that I am in love with a new flavor of pie...it is STRAWBERRY PIE. This pie was made from fresh strawberries grown on Froberg's Farm in Alvin. The berries were huge and sweetly delicious.
I had never had strawberry pie; but I told my husband to pick which ever pie he wanted and he got one. My friend, Sherry Wolf's mother, is Alvin's own Pie Lady and she makes a mean pie. She said that this was a new pie she was trying out and said it was really good. My husband was sold. She makes pies in her home and sells them. It keeps her busy in her retirement.
And was it ever good! We came home and put a little of Blue Bell's Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream on top and it was a goner! I think there is only one slice left and we purchased it Saturday at the Crawfest!
These are the type of people you will find living in Alvin. Good down home people, with good hearts. So if you are looking for a place that you would like to move to, you might consider Alvin Texas.
