Moonlight Foot Spa is a Chinese Foot Massage storefront business located in a very narrow little store front in the complex at the intersection of Basswood and Beach in north Ft Worth. The shop has traditional foot reflexology charts posted in the window. In daylight, it isn't easy to see if they are open or not. At night the neon "Open" sign is visible. They are open until 10 at night and drop-ins are welcomed. They have private massage rooms as well as chair massage. The foot massage is done on large, comfortable chairs that are kind of like a first cousin of a La-Z-Boy recliner. The chair has an ottoman and the back can be adjusted to a variety of settings, making it possible to get really comfortable.
Calling what they do a foot massage is misleading. They massage everything one would (reasonably) want massaged. My friend and I got the 60 minute massage for a mere $30. While my feet soaked in a wooden tub filled with warm water, my massage person massaged my face, head, neck, shoulders, arms and hands. Then she did my feet. Ah, yes…heaven. Pure heaven! After doing my feet, she had me turn over and really worked on tight, tight, tight muscle groups all over the backs of my legs and back.
What a deal. I am now motivated to see just how many of these places can I locate! There have to be more.....I am imagining a scientific survey of Foot Massage stores across the Metroplex.
