7 Comments on THE SILVER LINING CHRONICLES - MAY IS OLDER AMERICANS MONTH
I love our "older Americans." They offer so much in life experience and wisdom. Very precious.
Hi Jill, 65 used to sound so old, but not so much anymore. My business partner, Will, just turned 60. Thankfully I am 6 years younger than he so I can pick on him when the mood arises.
Hi Jill, Like Belinda says....it doesn't seem as old as it once was with so many 65 and older active and involved in so many things and looking younger..I mean..look at Will! Now with many of the baby boomers heading into this age group, I think things will start changing. I can see it now.. tie dye walkers seats or the Woodstock party room. BTW, thinking the older folks appreciate your larger font as well!
Cheryl - You couldn't be more right. I don't think everyone realizes that.
Belinda - Poor Will is really taking a beating, even from other AR members (lol). You have a most interesting relationship. Someday, I would love to hear how you two met and decided to start working together. (P.S. - You don't look a day over 45 - seriously!)
Cindy - The font works as well for me as it does for older folks. Sometimes, the length of my articles is prohibitive. I'm going to work on that. Even though you hear of boomers being involved in all kinds of things, I was blown away by the 98 year old grad student and the 95 year old pole vaulter. I have a master's in education, but when I was looking for a new career, I used to complain I was too old to go back to school. Can you imagine? I have a harder time sitting all day in a classroom than when I was younger.
wow.. i didn't know that... thanks for the info... not sure how i missed that..
I just dropped by for the post you wrote later, and came back for this one. Now, I need to go to the previous post.
Great writing. And, since I am a senior, I really enjoyed this one. Thanks.
Ron - (lol) Your picture gave me no clue as to your age. Actually, I did the same thing on Twitter. Instead of my face, I put up a picture of my dog.
