Some of the most Beautiful Real Estate in the World!

This past Sunday was a chance for me to go to one of my favorite places.  After Yosemite National Parkworking all week on Stanislaus County Short Sales it was time to take a day off.  So we headed up the hill into the Sierra Nevadas and into the world famous Yosemite National Park.  Being so close to the park I try to get there a few times a year.

Every season at Yosemite is incredible.  Fall in Yosemite is beautiful with some awesome fall foliage.   The crowds are smaller than spring or summer too.   Of course spring time in Yosemite is a sight that people come from all over the world to see.  When people think of Yosemite of course they think of Half Dome and El Capitan but they also think of the world famous waterfalls.

When we have an exceptionally wet winter like we did this year (144% of normal) the Bridalveil Fallsfalls can be even more awe inspiring.  There are several falls in the park but probably the two most famous are Bridalveil Falls and Yosemite Falls.

Bridalveil Falls is 617 feet tall and easily accessible.  There is a parking lot nearby and the trail is an easy walk to the falls.  Of course when it is flowing like it was this weekend you won't actually get to the base of the falls.  You might want to take a raincoat with you, because it's pretty misty on the trail.

Yosemite Falls is the highest waterfall in North America at a total of 2425 feet and is the sixth highest in the world. Yosemite Falls is actually three separate falls.  It's an easy walk on a paved trail to the base of Lower Yosemite Falls.  At the base is a bridge and viewing area to take in Yosemite Fallsthe sight.  When the falls are really flowing, like they were this weekend, you WILL get wet.  As you approach the falls you will notice a drop in the temperature and then start to feel the mist.  The roar of the falls is incredible.  If you ever make it to Yosemite be sure to see Yosemite Falls.

Of course there are lots of other things to see in the park.  Be sure to check out the Ahwahnee Hotel.  It's a great place for a drink or snack with the most impressive view you will ever see!  The Sunday brunch at the Ahwahnee is one of the best I have ever had.   Getting around Yosemite Valley is easy with the free shuttle buses running quite frequently.

You will almost certainly see some of the native wildlife on your trip.  The deer are plentiful and you will probably see a few.  On this trip we even saw a bear.   So if you ever get the chance to make the trip up to Yosemite National Park take it.

So now it's back to the real world of real estate and Stanislaus County Short Sales!

Jim.  That is so beautiful.  Reminds me of a place down in Colorado Springs called Seven Falls.  I think its time for a day trip.

I haven't been to Yosemite for so long.  It's on my list of things to do for this year - maybe in the fall....

Fall is a great time to go to Yosemite Karen.  The colors are awesome, but the falls aren't usually going very strong if at all.  The crowds are also much smaller then.  I go 2 or 3 times a year, it's one of my favorite places.

Yosemite is one of my favorite places in the world, Jim...and so many fond memories of camping in the valley.  I finally took the opportunity to stay at the Ahwahnee Hotel (about 7 years ago), and what an experience that was!  You're lucky to live so close by.

It's one of my favorite places too David.  I have not stayed at the Ahwahnee yet.  Someday I will.  I have been there a few times for the Sunday brunch and it is awesome.  It's close enough for me that I make the trip at least 3 or 4 times a year.
