The point system is brilliant. We, Realtors are competitive by nature, so the point system propels us to become actively involved in the "national" market on RE knowledge. Further, it forces us to educate others in our field, related fields and the general public about all the ins and outs of our industry, in the most creative way possible, thereby earning more points. We become actively involved in the businesses and lives of others -which has completely broadened MY horizons. Yes. The points are a motivating factor- but (in most cases) the points become secondary to the wealth of informaton that gets shared here. Finally, I have found that the members who have developed a presence here are "cream of the crop" in their fields. Reading what they have to say is better than any seminar I could pay for.
...but what is with all the fruit graphics?
Caleb, I think you should take AR existence up to the general public by interesting the national TV channels and some of the major national newspapers and magazines to report about it, write articles and create the whole show. It may get you (and us) some impressive numbers...No doubt it is a great site, people will love the free information and the opportunities of AR.
