CELEBRATE YOUR MOTHER IN ELLICOTT CITY THIS SATURDAY.

Did you know that there are many interesting businesses in operation along the Route 40 Corridor in Ellicott City? Personally I had no idea they many of them even existed till recently.

As my four year old son transitions from spending hours at his train table talking to Thomas and Percy to the evil world of Wii and playstation, I needed to replace a controller.  Much to my surprise I was directed to the local "Game Stop" which is just across the road to my office. Almost 9 years of being a Realtor in this Ellicott City location and I had never noticed it. (...but then I never needed it before either!!!!)

Me and Drew This weekend, Saturday May 7th  from 11am till 3pm, in honor of Mother's Day on May 7th,  The Business Community of Ellicott City hosted by Long & Foster Ellicott City located at 9171 Baltimore National Pike in Ellicott City, is having a CELEBRATE MOM community event.

It's going to be a lot of fun with tons of Prizes for Mom- Great hourly contests like a hula hoop, limbo and Wii dance off. Photos of mom and massages. Food and demonstrations. It's all completely free. You will have a bag of goodies to leave with too.

Some of the participants include: Jilly's of Ellicott City, Curves, Floyds Barber shop, Radio Shack in Ellicott City, Shannon's Restaurant, Edward Jones of Ellicott City, Turf Valley Resort & Conference Center, The Power of Positive Touch, Salon O'Zhea and Happy Dog Care to name just a few.

There is a strength in numbers, so the goal of this combined event is to create awareness to the Ellicott City community of the diversity of amenities available in this immediate area. In this tough ecomomy there are many family owned businesses that need support.

Bring your friends, family and neighbors too.

Mother's day is one of my favorite. I also very much support this kind of community event. It is a great idea for bringing together a the town residents.

Good for you for posting this valuable info! Wishing you a big crowd!

Love a community event like this. So whose idea was this? The agents? the manager? Would love to know the particulars of how this got started. :0)

Without moms none of us would be here, so I think a celebration in their honour is a very appropriate thing to do Ellie.

Mother's Day certainly did creep up on me this year.  I have to get out and find something for my Mom.
