The State of Louisiana received some great news by being ranked by Site Selection as the Most Competetive State for 2010! This follows up Louisiana's rank of #2 in 2009.
Site Selection looked at a variety of factors to make their rankings including: capital investment, gross domestic product, new jobs created, state unemployment and other economic measures. Louisiana beat out Virginia, Texas and North Carolina for the title.
This ranking is a result of many, many individuals and organizations working extremely hard to create a welcoming business climate in the state. As a direct result of their hard work, the Baton Rouge Area Chamber was specifically recognized by Site Selection as one of the top economic development organizations in the entire country.
Our reputation among business executives continues to improve as well. Louisiana was ranked #7 in the latest survey of top executives of best states in which to do business.
