Keller Williams Red DayKeller Williams Red Day - Give Where You Live!

Next Thursday, May 12th, is Keller Williams Red Day.  This is our 3rd annual Red Day event that occurs on Mo Andersonour CEO, Mo Anderson's birthday.  This is our opportunity to give back to the community by conducting community events across the nation and Canada. Last year over 30,000 agents participated and donated over 150,000 service hours.  That is nearly 40% of the Keller Williams organization and 72 years of service.

Personally, this will be my third year of coordinating the rejuvenation of the gardens at one of the Cheyenne Village locations in Colorado springs.  Cheyenne Village is a non-profit organization assisting adults with disabilities.

It is so rewarding.  We spend the morning preparing the gardens by removing last summer's growth.  Then we plant a number of perennial and annual flowers.  Then it's clean-up time.  We are usually done by noon.  We typically have 15-20 agents helping, which is good, because there are gardens all around the home.

Last year we started while it was snowing - yes snow in mid May.  But it quickly warmed up and most of us were taking off our jackets. It is fun to watch how others from the office work, you can certainly tell who has been pampered over the years.  But no one cares, we have a great time working together.  You just can't deny it, it is something about the Keller Williams Culture!

Stay tuned.  I'll provide an update on our event next week.

Hi Nancy~ We've done something different each year at our office.  This year we will be folding pocket flags to send to the troops.  I need to remember to take photos too!
