Anna- I have my salt ready and just waiting for my margarita! Can't wait!
Anna, no official celebrations around here but plenty of Cinco de Mayo themed promotions in bars and restaurants all around!
Do you know why it's widely celebrated in the United States? Because we love any excuse for an alcoholiday! =)
Anna, thanks for that bit of history and until this year I never knew that Cinqo d'mayo was a holiday, let alone why it was celebrated. All the things you learn by playing in the rain.....
Love Lynda's comment...lol I didn't know a thing about the history; so I learned something.

Anna, Cinco de Mayo is big here in the Coachella Valley! Thanks for your post-- very informative! Kathy
Happy Cinco de Mayo ! It sounds like a fun time in your area. We have quite a time here too. A round of Margaritas for the whole group here!
Happy Cinco De Mayo Anna and Congrats for moving up from #cinco to #quatro, hey that's a great reason to celebrate! La La La La Bamba!
Anna, How could I not wish you a Happy Cinco De Mayo! It 's just about time for a margarita. Best wishes always.
Anna, Cinci De Mayo is celebrated heavily here in Denver as well. My husband and I went out for dinner after golf today. I suggested Mexican and he said "no way, it will be packed". We went to Texas Roadhouse instead (one of his favorites) and it was crazy busy. Who would have thought?
