Okay, so today's 'tour' is of the San Dimas Wine Shop. I have actually been here a couple of times and loved it! This place is a little bit different than the normal WINE TASTING shop. They have inside and outside seating available, and it's a lot of fun!
For instance, this wine store has a Wine Club called "The Joy of Sipping". How fun is that? And if you are a 'regular' they actually have a special glass for you with your name engraved on it that you use every time you come in.
Heidi, the co-owner came from wine country so her ideas about running a WINE TASTING shop are far advanced from anyone else's place I have seen. Each week is a theme and the wines served are chosen with regard to the theme. For instance, May 10-15th is entitled Chardonney and Cabaret: The King and Queen of Wines.
Now, for those of you who do not enjoy wines, they also had a selection of beer so you won't be left out in the cold. In fact, one of the upcoming events on May 15th is "Summer Beer Tasting". You can check out some of Heidi's creativity HERE.
And on Heidi's Corner, a page on their website, she shares recipes which are different each month. This month one of the different recipies is for crab cakes... not something for me, but I know a lot of people enjoy them. (Not that you asked!)
So, when you're in the San Dimas/La Verne area you should stop in for a truly unique WINE TASTING EXPERIENCE. I know tyou won't be sorry!
