Your Favorite Phone

With all the new phones coming out this year, I am curious to see what ActiveRain members favorite cell phones are?  OR the ones you would stay far far away from.  I have the att 8525 and it doubles as a pda, it runs the windows OS, and has a whole lot of features!  I really dont have too many complaints about it, other then at my home I have horrible service, but if you go 15 feet outside its great!  Go figure!  Now att just released the new TILT phone which is basically an upgrade from the 8525,  I have yet to check it out.  How many users have a I phone or Treo or Blackberry and What do you prefer?  I love att 3g service its blazing fast but I just wish I had a full html browser now on my phone.  I know that Verizon just released a new competitor to the Iphone as well...

Scot, I am partial to my Treo 650 Palm. I have a PDA, games, internet, bluetooth. All I need in the palm of my hand and I dont have to have 5 different devices to do it.

Scot, Great post.  I love any phone that works and is easy to use..

I currently have a Verizon Pocket PC. It runs on Windows Mobile and is sometimes a little slow, but the phone/pda does open lock boxes, runs hi-speed Internet and has a large viewing screen. There is a new model coming out this November/December that is very similar, but has real # keys for dialing. The biggest drawback that I hear about the Pocket PC is the virtual #'s for dialing.

Scot, I also have the 8525 and got it about a week after it came out last year.  It's great -- one of my friends saw mine and switched over from Blackberry.  Now his whole company is considering them for the company phone.

I have  Palm Treo (680) and I love it. It has the PALM OS which supposedly runs faster than the Windows version.

I've heard a lot of people love the treos, the verizon pc is great if your mls supports it, the new model is suppose to be awesome, 8525 is great if the company is considering check out the tilt.

I currently have a Treo 650 Palm too and have liked it but its on its last leg and I am contemplating a switch, so I will watch here to see what others think as well.

I can never seem to find a phone I like. The best phone I've ever had was my original Nokia that weighed a ton, but worked like a charm. I have a Razor right now, but I don't much care for it. I'm thinking of changing over to a Blackberry....

Blackberry is by far the best phone i have ever used.  Simple and easy and it has great coverage!

This is fast becoming a men's only post, so I'm breaking it up. But it is good to read about what phones are the best for us that are technology challenged. Debbie

I love my blackberry pearl...The only drawback is that I wish I would have gotten the bigger one so that every key has it's own letter.  Way easier to e-mail.  I also wish they would open lockboxes.

The pearl is really popular around here but it does not open lockboxes

Didn't your competition post this blog?  Maybe you are inspiring after all....LOL

I have the Treo 750. It is a piece of crap. It is probably one of the most frusterating pieces of technology that I own! I wish I would have known that before I spent $400 dollars. I never got my rebate back.

LOL Amanda.....Thanks for the warning...Did you get the joke..Scotty?

Scot - I use the Treo 700 - wouldn't trade it for anything!  I was initially fighting switching to it because of it's size, but now I'm wondering why I didn't make the switch sooner!

Scott,

I have the 8525 & have had a lot of problems with it..not a fan of it

Looking forward to getting an iphone

I had the Treo 700 but the harddrive fried! I love it, it had glitches every now and again but overall I like it. The internet capabilities and that it opened Supras was a great plus but I felt that all of the technology of it took away from the phone part of it (freezing during calls, dropping calls, etc) but for the mst part I liked it. I was frustrated when the hard drive gave out that I ended up buying the LG EnV from Verizon and really love it as a phone but I do miss the internet capabilities and the opening of lock boxes. Thinking of getting a new PDA just not sure which one...glad you posted this!
