Look Ma, a World Record!

Yes folks, it's true. The Northern Michigan Real Estate Blog has unwittingly found itself to be part of a new unofficial world record.

Strange, you say. Hard to believe, even? Tell me about it. Little did I know that when I checked my profile on Technorati tonight for new links, I had just recently become part of history in the making.

It seems as though an enterprising young man by the name of Tino Buntic set out to establish a world's record for the most anchor text links in a single blog posting. Unofficially, Tino, who has set forth the ambitious goal of linking to each and every one of the 55 million blogs in existence, is off to a record start, with 2215 links in a single post! According to Mr. Buntic, "It took me 35 hours of total writing time to do this . I 'm a freak ."

How my blog ended up as one of the links, I haven't a clue, but I will take a little link love where I can find it. Thank you Tino and godspeed to you in your quest!

Tino is a man with way too much time on his hands. But nevertheless, that is very cool! And congratulations....since he plans to link to 55 million blogs at least you can say you were in the top 2215. That's impressive!

I am in there too. I wondered what the heck that incoming link was. Thanks for explaining!

Sounds ambitious and I hope it pays off for Tino. Keep us posted from time to time to tell us how many he's linked to.

OK somewhere in his blog a word or phrase is linked to you? Do you know where it is? It does not say Stefan Scholl and Marueen Francis it is just linked in the text?

OMG MM, I have no idea where the link is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I actually spent about fifteen minutes trying to find it. (:O)

Interestingly, most of the links are contextual. I read through the post a couple times and looked all over for "Northern", "Michigan", "Real", "Estate", etc. and couldn't find anything.

I am probably linked to an article (a, an or the) or maybe punctuation? Or maybe a conjunction?

Please let me know if someone finds it!

Wow, incredibly inventive and very cool. However, I do feel compelled to mention that Google drops any page from its index with more than 120 links in it. So, for those of you that want to follow in Stephan's pretty big footsteps, just know the facts.

Mary, thanks for the plug, but I cannot take credit for this world's record, it was all Tino Buntic's doing. No one has to worry about me coming even remotely close to ending up on Google's blacklist.
