PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that sealed bids will be received on Monday,
May 16, 2011 at 11:00 A.M., prevailing time, in the Main Meeting Room of the Municipal Building located at 1000 Route 10 in Whippany (at the intersection of Route 10 westbound and North Jefferson Road) in the Township of Hanover, and thereafter all bids shall be publicly opened and read aloud for the following Township personal property no longer needed for public use:

CONDITIONS OF SALE

1. No competitive bids will be accepted or received through the mail or hand
delivered via messenger service, Fed Ex, United Parcel or any other type of delivery service. All persons interested in submitting a bid(s) must be present at the time bids are received and opened on Monday, May 16, 2011 namely, at 11:00 a.m. in the Main Meeting Room at the Municipal Building.

2. All successful bidders must come prepared to pay the full amount
offered either in cash or certified check at the time of the bid opening. No
personal checks will be accepted.

3. The portable skateboard park, sanitation truck, mowers and related
equipment, arcade video machine, pool tables and shuffle board table shall be sold to those persons submitting the highest competitive bid for each separate item.

4. The portable skateboard park, sanitation truck, mowers and related
equipment, arcade video machine, pool tables and shuffle board table have been rated by the Township to be in either excellent, good, fair or poor condition and are offered in their present, used, "as is" condition without any warranties or any obligations to the buyer(s) for any and all repairs that might be needed. The portable skateboard park, sanitation truck and mowers and related equipment will be available for public inspection between the hours of 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., on May 12th and 13th, 2011 at the Township’s Public Works Department Garage located at 25 North Jefferson Road in Whippany. The arcade video machine, pool tables and shuffle board tables will be available for public inspection
between the hours of 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., on May 12th and 13th, 2011 at the
Township’s Multi-Purpose Community Center located at 15 North Jefferson Road in Whippany.

BIDDERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR BUYING BASED ON THEIR OWN INSPECTION.

5.Each bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope submitted at 11:00 a.m. on
May 16, 2011, and labeled with the name of the bid item as described in this
legal advertisement. Example For Sanitation Truck: Competitive Bid for
One (1) 1987 Mack Packer.

6. It shall be the responsibility of the successful bidders to remove the vehicle
and/or equipment by May 17, 2011. In the event the successful bidders fail to remove the items by 2:00 p.m. on May 17, 2011, the Township Committee may declare the sale of any and all items void, and the moneys paid by such successful bidders shall be forfeited to the Township.  This public sale will be held in accordance with provisions of N.J.S.A. 40A:11-36.

The Township Committee of the Township of Hanover reserves the right to
reject any and all bids, or parts of bids, waive any and all defects and informalities, as may be deemed best for all interests.
