I have written in the past about the need for senior housing.  I also wrote about the construction of the Red Hook Commons which was being built to serve this need. Well, I am happy to report that seniors started moving in over a week ago.

Today, I stopped by and chatted with a few of the new residents and the overall response was they were very happy.  One senior had moved back to be near her  son and grandchildren.  Another senior a former resident of the village of Tivoli was so delighted to be in the village of Red Hook.  With sidewalks in place seniors from this complex can easily walk into the center of town.

That's not all - Phase Two is already in progress and should be ready for occupany early next year.

 So, residents of Red Hook use this opportunity to welcome all the new seniors to town and I know you will all do your best to make them feel at home.
