Happy Mother's Day to all mothers out there. A BIG SHOUT OUT to you for what you do, especially for your family and children.
This year, my Mother's Day salute, I'd want to remember Mother's Day isn't always a happy day for ALL MOTHERS. The pain and the grief I too, once experienced.
I know my mother will be thinking about her mother on Mother's Day. My mother lost her mom on Mother's Day unexpectedly several years ago. I think my mother has never gotten over it. I guess no one will, especially when my mother is such a loving person.
As for me, Mother's Day didn't really hit me until Saturday - the day before. While I am a mother of a healthy, active 3 1/2 year old, I can't help but to realize how much emotions went through me on Saturday thinking about the little 8-week old in my tummy that never made it. Yes, I miscarried earlier this year.
It took me a while to recover but I finally came around to it when I realized that every day of our lives is numbered. Even for the 8-week old in a womb.
God sends missions in life and when He thinks your mission is accomplished, He will take you home.
My baby - although I can never understand why - is accomplished at a tender 8-week in a womb.
As it was made clear - perhaps this little baby's mission has completed at 8 weeks old in his mummy's tummy. It's hard to comprehend and I always catch myself trying to understand God's "whys".... I may never understand Why but I know I have to accept. It's been sometime now and I'm doing better every day. Yes, I still have my moments. And the moments seem easier to pass by. With other things in my life right now, I haven't quite had a moment in a while. But the moment came back today - the day before Mother's Day.
Just the Same...
I never got to hold you & bounce you on my lap, I never got to read to you or watch you as you nap. You slipped away so quickly, before I said your name. And yet I want the world to know I loved you just the same...
I'm also taking a full Sunday off from here because I'm going to need some time to soak in my moment again on Mother's Day. So, this is an early Mother's Day good wishes for all the mothers out there. Your gift is priceless.
Scripture of the Week:
God can do anything you know - far more than you could even imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us.
I begin my week here on Active Rain with my God First posts, written every Sunday once a week. My promise to you is that the messages I share will be day-to-day related, often times related to real estate. If these topics are important to you also, I'd love for you to subscribe to my blog.
