I'd Drive 80+ Miles For A Coddie??????
Apparently so.
On Wednesday, after completing a morning listing appointment, I gassed up my car and headed off to join Margaret Rome at her 'Garden Party' at her listing located at 14 Timber Way, Reisterstown, MD 21136.
After the rain subsided, it was actually a very pleasant drive. Especially the last part of it, on the winding roads in Maryland. South Jersey is just so darn flat.
The home looked beautiful, just as I anticipated by reading Margaret's online marketing. Her efforts made it shine! I've noticed that about Margaret. Her words and photos are always inviting. I've also noticed her penchant for picking up the phone to place unexpected and delightful calls.
After I rsvp'd for her 'Garden Party' at 1 am, my phone rang at 1:11 am. (not that I was keeping track or anything!) I'd already saved her number in my blackberry, so I laughed OUT LOUD when I saw her name pop up on the screen!
Her teasers for the Open House included the promise of 'Coddies, Cookies and Knishes'. Well, I'll admit it....I was one of the respondents who had never heard of a Coddies. (I was also unfamiliar with the Berger cookies.)
I liked the Coddies....but I loved the Berger cookies! Oh my gosh, they were good!
But the truth is that I drove 80+ miles to meet and spend a little bit of time with Margaret Rome. She's a real special lady....and obviously a real special Realtor.
"Realtor? Friend? Mentor? Coach? Advisor?
YES!
Margaret Rome can't be all things to all people, but she is all those things--and more--to the people who've worked with her. Margaret Rome is the best friend a home buyer can have."

I think that last sentence needs to be revised to say, "Margaret is the best friend a fellow Realtor can have."
It sure was nice to meet you, Margaret!
