As I mentioned yesterday it was just ActiveRain's six month anniversary.  It looks like Google provided a nice little present.  A minor update happened sometime in the last couple days and we started to climb up in the ranking for some competitive keyterms terms.  Not the major jump I'm expecting sometime in the next few months but it is going to add about 1,000 extra visitors off of Google vs. last Monday.  With about 4 hours go (PST) we may break 6,000 unique visitors in a single day for the first time.  Given how new the site is and with age and link age playing a huge factor in Googles ranking it's still pretty cool.

Congratulations.

You obviously have the talent of being a visionary and also having the technical savvy to continue to make this a more and more successful site.

Very impressive indeed!

This is awesome, Matt! Just imagine what it will be a year from now! I know that blogging has to come from a creative muse within us, but if we focus on key tags for a bit, will it help our ranking? Or should we just keep doing what we are doing?

That is amazing news Matt but I'm not surprised. Imagine where AR will be in 6 months from now.

Congratulations, Matt.  Was it an ActiveRain little update or a Google little update?  I know that your consumer improvements will also create a big jump.  Thanks for working for all of us.

Awesome.

I just checked Homefinders.com and while visits are respectible, they are not going up.  It's December.

For the month, I have 1475,1212,1264,1439,1441 for the past 5 days.

So, I am duly impressed with 6,000 hits for a day, which I'm sure you'll get today or tomorrow or. . . .  soon.
