I am just wondering how much of your business is from referrals..is it 30 % , 50% or different...I am very curious to see what agents put down..Obviously with the way the market is we all can benefit from referrals.  I would like you to share your results if you don't mind.  Have you ever sat down and thought about it? How much of your business is from working what other agents brought to you.  Thanks for your feedback in this important survey I am conducting on Active Rain.  :-)

 I ask for and give out 30%. I have had agents say that is too much but I think I am worth it and I will only give out a referral to an agent that I personally question and interview. I will only take a referral when I know I can service the customer to their expectations. Our relo department takes 35% of outgoing referrals and most referral companies want 35-40%.

Hi Tom, almost all of my business the last few years is by referral (Past clients, referred from past clients, etc).  For 2006 it was at 87%.  This year is looking like it will be about the same.
