A good friend used this saying and I about fell out of my chair laughing, but how true! It got me thinking about whether it was accurate when you take it to the next level. You know the notion that some people are dog people and some are cat people. Well, I'm not one for stereotyping pet owners, but there's a lot of truth to how this might apply to people and their individual personalities and characteristics. Some folks, lets call them "dog people", might be good when it comes to asking for advice and utilizing feedback. Other people, the "cat people" may be more stubborn about asking for advice or using it. I can already hear my family and co-workers laughing about which I am, so I'll stop with any more examples.
In our office, I don't think anyone is better at juggling the many personalities of our employees, customers and partners than our Purchasing Manager, Adam Salhanick. Although his title may be Purchasing Manager, it might as well be "cat herder". OK, now I'm done with my pet analogies. When it comes to custom homes in Tampa, Adam is one of the most knowledgeable purchasing managers around. His attention to detail and assertiveness allows us to extend significant savings to our customers. Just as important, Adam is typically the first person that people speak with when they call our office. His professionalism and focus on customer service are what we are all about at Javic Homes. Plus he's always good for some comic relief whenever we need it.
Whether you are a "dog person" or "cat person", I am confident that Adam and the rest of our team does an exceptional job when it comes to understanding people's personalities and how to work with them.
