Gardening for Dummies (with black thumbs)

By
Real Estate Agent with Florida Homes Realty and Mortgage

The climate in North East Florida, St. Augustine for example, is great for growing all sorts of things.  If youGarden in St. Augustine water it, it will grow, or so I've been told.

For those of you who know me well, know that I consider my thumbs to be anything but green.  However, I've always dreamed of creating an herb garden with maybe a tomato plant or two.  I scour articles about Indoor Gardening for Dummies with Black Thumbs with hopes that they will enlighten me.

Here is a start; I've learned how to turn a common mudroom into a glorious and natural garden room.  There may be more herbs and a tomato or three in my homes in St. Augustine.

Marjorie:  In the past, I have had excellent success with tomato plants.  Even I could not mess those up.  Anything else, even including the indoor pothos plants... well, my black thumb makes quick work of them.

Karen, I've even considered those hanging upside down tomatoes.  They are goofy looking but I have heard that they are quite effective.  Definitely a conversation piece!

Marjorie,

The trick to gardening is to let someone else do the hard work...  I am great at picking veggies!
