I have talked with animals. Please hear me out before you go on to your next post. Its true and I didn't have to study or practice. It came naturally and I have found others do it too. You see you can talk to animals and they will talk back, but you don't know what they are saying

THE FARM TEST

I visited a farm recently and tested this completely using chickens as my first subjects. I started making above average chicken noises and everyone of them stopped, stared, and then the responses came in. When I turned it up, it got even more interesting and they even moved toward me.

WE TALKED...but about what?

I don't know what I was saying, but they liked it a lot. The head rooster was stand offish and curious. In the next stall were horses and when they heard all the noise, they started their own. I responded and they got agitated. Apparently they were not used to having anyone talk to them or the chickens next door like that..

CATS AND BIRDS TALK BACK

I can imitate a cat and any other cat around will freeze in its tracks when it hears my cat call. That tells me there is a possible connection here, but what I don't know...I have also chirped certain syllables and have had birds respond chirp for chirp excitably too. What was being said was to their liking..

NOT FOR EVERYONE

I once howled after eating a large meal and my neighbors dog let out a return howl with feeling and the correct pitch. I must have sent out a message of some sort and it was accepted and returned...What was said? Who knows?

ATTENTION ALL DOVES

There are doves near the house and when I start cooing, their necks start bobbing and they start going around in circles...Maybe I stumbled on a tune or a song or even a mating sound...who knows?

ANIMAL SPEAK

This much I do know..Animals make sounds and a lot of them are repetitive. They have to mean something or they wouldn't keep doing it. Are they just random noises or distinct one-liners in their world?

WOO WOO..WOOO WOOO

I did a whippoorwill the other night. It is a three syllable movement done in a below octave with a puckered lip and mouth movement. Sure enough, the response came and we both left each other on a positive note...

BE CHOOSY WITH THE CHATTER

WARNING: I would choose the audience carefully when experimenting with this. Kids eat it up and even join in. However, some adults have been known to...well lets just say remain skeptical. What would they know anyway..

Richie,

"Choosing the audience carefully" is great advice in most communication.

Very entertaining...I 'talk' to the birds, and I also used to 'talk' to my horse.  Haven't a clue what was said!

Richie, I do it too and always will and if I look foolish to others, then oh well! It is "G" rated for general audiences!

Wanda....my like kind and esteemed colleague. We talk and others listen and not all of them are human either....Could it be animal magnetism? How about we are available more so? As to looking foolish to others...to thine own self be true....

Richie ~  Reminds me of the Easter my brother and I got "brightly colored" baby chicks from my Uncle!  My Grandfather went outside to call them in his Special Baby Chick Voice -- as I recall, every cat for a 10 mile radius returned the chatter!

Hadn't thought of that in years -- we laughed until we cried.  Thanks for the memories!
