Celebrating Family Caregiver Week in British Columbia.
With 1 in 4 people providing some form of family care, we are really talking about a very large group of very loving and caring people
May 7 - 13, 2011
Please join The Family Caregivers Network Society, to recognize and pay tribute to the over 1,000,000 "unpaid" family caregivers in British Columbia.
These are the Family members and Friends that provide care, support and look after the Chronically Ill, the Disabled or the Elderly.
Family Caregivers are the invisible pillars of our community, and the stained health care system, and provide over 80% of the care at home....

Family Care Givers are truly the back bone of our Greater Victoria Health Care Community, and they are a group of truly very special people that are often placed in the position of being the primary caregiver without their choice or really having any other options. It is very easy to see how a caregiver can find him/herself feel isolated and stressed.... We are very fortunate to have organizations like the Family Caregivers Network Society in the Greater Victoria area, if you and or anyone you know is a caregiver, we thank you so very much for your contribution to a family member or loved one, and encourage you to connect with others by way of the FCNS, and see how many hands can make your caring for others a little easier for you.
