I've signed upo for a few, but only a few really catch my eye.
One of those is the blog written by Sacramento Appraiser Ryan Lunquist, of Lundquist Appraisal Company. Ryan has been hitting it out of the park with his articles about real estate in Sacramento. He's also a fantastic resource for industry-specific appraisal knowledge.
Today he put up Fannie Mae's List of Naughty Words.
With a title like that, how can you not go and read it?
In a nutshell, just like real estate agents can't use certain terms to describe a property - including those with religious or racial references - appraisers are also subject to stringent rules about how they can and can't describe a neighborhood.
If you're a Sacramento real estate professional, you need to get to know Ryan. If you're out of his coverage area, you'll still benefit from reading his stuff - it's interesting, thought-provoking and very current.
