Many of you have been following along on my blog about my recent trip to visit my daughter and her husband in Switzerland. Honestly, before these photos were taken, I didn't know if Id' ever see her again. But I did and the trip was amazing. These photos speak for themselves. There's no words I could say that can tell you what I was feeling. There are no pictures I can pluck out because I simply couldn't choose the best. This is a long post of pictures and I hope some of you will find it inspiring. We hiked up to the Bergstation, Triftbrucke which takes you to the Glacier Waters. The fauna and glacier waters took my breath away. It was the hardest climb of my life, but definitely most worth while. We were unable to go all the way to the top because of snow and weather conditions but every step we walked was worth it.
The Trift area is a wild, high-altitude mountain and glacier landscape which started out with impressive farm views. We were heading towards that lake at 1654 meters. That lake is pure glacier melt, so yes, that river was glacier melt. This trip tested my courage and there was personal risk, but for my daughter, I would do anything.
Thanks for viewing my photos and being a part of my journey like nothing I ever experienced before. I hope you enjoyed the captivating views along with me and perhaps, somewhere along the way, your perspective may have changed, as mine did. From the depths of my Texas heart to the soothing and clear glacier waters from deep in the heart of the Swiss Alps, thank you for joining in my adventures in Switzerland. This was an experience into the wilds of nature with the loves of my life, my daughter Carrie Ann and her husband Marco. If only, my son and his significant other could have been there, it would have be more beautiful but for now, I settle for this.
To you and yours, I wish you life's blessings, many happy family reunions, travels, adventures, and the love that comes from being in touch with nature. Next comes Italy!
