The Wonder of Education

On my first day of school - so long ago - I wondered (briefly) when this phase of my life would be over. Now that I was at school, would I have to come back again tomorrow?

At various landmarks in my education, I have briefly wondered the same thing. I am happy to report that some 60  plus years later, education has become a habit
.

I may have passed the formal stages, and am now more self directed, but my education continues.  I believe that I shall take my learning with me when I pass on.

Education, to me, is more than studying to pass examinations (although these have a way of cropping up at unexpected times.)

A lot of my education comes from reading (if you are reading this Thank a Teacher). Today I expect to read two short ebooks before retiring. I have printed them so I can mark them up.

Education has given me flexibility in my life decisions. In Real Estate, my education has been formal, and continuing, and now also appears in the posts of ActiveRain.

It is said that when the student is ready, the teacher appears: I am always ready.

I think we can learn something new every day just by being alive and keeping our ears and eyes open.

Larry, our education should not end, as there is always something to learn in every job position.    Real estate is changing and we need to keep up as much as we can!

Thanks all for your encouraging comments. We realize the value of education. Now to impart it to the next generation(s). Often it is the case of advising the students of avoiding "soft" options, and of imparting a love for learning to those around us.
