21 Comments on ACTIVERAIN PHOTO BLOGGER CONTEST - MEMORIES OF ROSES
Evelyn - they are pretty and a lot of work too. We used to have about 100 bushes of roses in our first home. It was a lot of work to maintain but it pays off. We have neighbors stopping by to smell the roses.
Brad: Thank you for your kind words. I am not much of a gardener, but Mom's house still has the roses and her gardener keeps them in good shape. I appreciate your comment.
Mike: I know they are a lot of work. I remember Mom spending hours babying her roses. But her work was worth her effort. Yep, Mom had people walking by admiring her roses. She loved it.
Dear Evelyn,
Your picture of the roses is so beautiful and remembering mom is a wonderful activity - isn't it? Just went outside and took a photo of my grandmother's rose bush (well, a descendent of) which has a light pink flower and a heavenly smell. Then I came in to see if anyone saw my ARPB contest post and there you were! So glad you came by.
Have a happy day -
Lynn
They are my favorites too. The most amazing thing to me about roses is that even out in the hot sun for hours which they love, the petals are cool to the touch.
Lynn: Thank you for your kind words. Please take a picture of your grandmother's rose. I'll bet its beautiful.
Dee: Isn't it true. The petals feel so soft and velvety. Thanks for your kind comment.
This is a great entry to the contest, Evelyn. Beautiful, rich color. You can almost smell the rose.
Jane:
Thank you so much for your very nice comments. I can smell the roses and they are very fragrant. I appreciate your taking the time to comment on my blog. Take care.
Evelyn - gorgeous roses - love the color. Good luck in the contest, nice entry.
Barbara:
Thank you for your generous comments. Good luck to you, too. But I don't expect to win anything. I am hoping I will get some feed back on my photo. I am not a very good photographer, that's why I hire professionals to do photos of my listings. I appreciate your comments. Take care.
Roses were a favorite of my Mother. . .She had well over 5 dozen in her yard. The one you have pictured is very unique. It looks quite a bit like a Carnation.
Myrl:
I wish I could remember what it is called. If Mom were here she'd look at my as if I were losking my mind and say it is am ________. Sounds like your Mom was a rose lover too. Thank you for your comment. I appreciate it.
The clarity of your roses is wonderful! Picture perfect clear!
Sally:
You are too kind. I appreciate your comment. Thank you so much.
Stunning rose.
I guess that if you love roses, I would be remiss if I did not leave you a rose in my comment.
Eric:
Your rose picture puts my to shame. Thanks for the gorgeous picture. Its so perfect and the color is so wonderful. Thank you.
Hi Evelyn...As I read your post I was expecting to see a photo of a rose. When I did, I held my breath. Thank you so much.
Kate
Amazing how many different types of roses there are and each one individually beautiful.
Kate: Thanks so much for your wonderful comment. I appreciate it.
David: Thanks for your comment. Yep, there are so many gorgeous roses and so many different fragrances.
How pretty! What kind of rose is it? If it's local to our area I'd like to get one for my sister. She's a big fan of roses too.
Elisa:
I bought it at our local nursery, Encinal Nursery, a few years ago. I lost the tag with the name on it, so I don't know what it is called. If I find the name, I'll email you. Thanks for commenting and have a nice weekend.
