Kindness to All Renters Pays Off

By
Real Estate Agent with Greater Washington Arera Realty

I found a darling couple to rent a home to 3 months ago.  They were so excited as this home was huge, beautiful and so THEM.  But the day came to sign the lease and the husband lost his job that morning!  They needed to move back home to Florida and start over.  After 3 months now, I get an email tonight telling me he landed a much better job, wants to move back to the area and no more renting a home but this time they will buy!  I want to thank the two realtors who never returned this couples calls 3 months ago who had no idea at the time these were even high end renters...now high end buyers for me!  Yippee.

Sharon-I work with renters and my first two sales in real estate were renters who other agents didn't want.  WIthin 1 day of looking at rentals they both turned into buyers.  I work with renters as I can and have subsequently sold many of them houses a year later.

Hi Sharon:  In real estate, as in life, it's all about the seeds.  Sowing and reaping, sowing and reaping.  You can't sow bad seeds (or in this case neglect to sow good ones) and expect to reap anything worthwhile.  Great reaping, Sharon!

When I have time, I also help those in  more need getting county assistance.  That is truly hard and can be tiring at times, but it gives me a reality check and when I succeed, it's a wonderful feeling to have helped.  I may not get any referrals yet on these, but the heart feels pretty good.
