The Charleston market has been a little slow lately.  Time on market has been creeping up slowly. Now the average is around 90 days.  As another sucess story on staging I would like to present 2328 Daniel Island Drive.  Daniel Island is one of the most sought after parts of town to live.  Prices are a little higher than average.  This particular home was listed on December 14, 2006 for $349,000.  On May 4, 2007 the price dropped to $329,900.

After viewing (and having her client purchase) another one of our staged properties on Daniel Island, the agent recommended staging to her clients.  We staged the property on August 8, 2007.  The home closed on September 27, 2007.  This is less than 60 days from staging to CLOSED.

It was nearly midnight when we left this job, so unfortunately the photos are a bit dark.  One of the big issues in this home was the awkward floor plan of the living room/dining room combo.  (the TV is housed in the white cabinets in the center)

If you are WONDERING if staging works... IT WORKS!  www.stagingandredesign.com

You made the awkward layout a non-issue...now people can see how they will live in the space. Congrats! You did a fantastic job, as usual!

Fabulous! BTW I did get your entry but the submission was past the deadline, so it will be entered for the next carnival on staging.

Cheers,

Melissa, another wonderful success story.  I love the color of the hardwood floors and your furniture looks great with it.  I bet your client is like the English say, "Over the moon!"  Betty
