I have several spammers that I see coming into my spam email that I know came from the Rain....

It irritates me even though I don't have to deal with it.  I could, and mostly do, just ignore it and delete it.  But some are so persistent, and I worry about spam.

Why?  Because there are people out there who just believe anything that they can grab onto that might help them either make the next mortgage payment, the next insurance payment or pay for the groceries.

They give up credit card numbers and sometimes DEBIT card numbers, which is a huge mistake.

I gave AOL a debit card number many, many years ago, and they got me for TWO ACCOUNTS, only one of which was authorized.  We settled, out of court.  But, oh, did I ever have to give them some grief and had to "lawyer up".

So, you see my dilemma....do I continue to let people I know are already in trouble continue to dig themselves in deeper?

I really don't want to see my friends and relatives get into the same situations I work with every day.

If they get into the position that they need to do a short sale, will I feel right not having said something earlier about scams?  Or do I just shut up and let them make their own mistakes?

Me?  I think I know that when a deal sounds too good to be true, it almost certainly is.  But, not everyone has the luxury of knowing better.  And, so many people now need some straw to clutch at.

Spammers know all the hot spots, and there is a new sucker every minute as Mr. P.T. Barnum once said.

Suzanne we have to agree with you. We too know to do our due diligence but there are many that don't. There has to be something that can be done.

Suzanne, as far as I'm aware I've never received spam from my AR blogging. Does it come via AR email?

Suzanne, the rule with any offer is if it sounds to good to be true, it is. Don't give spammers a second thought. Go slow with anything involving money.

Suzanne, I have also noticed that I am getting more spam since I have regularly been blogging and commenting on AR.

Suzanne, I too receive more spam as I blog and comment more.  I also am getting regular solicitation calls from my phone number which is on my profile page.  I don't know any way to stop them.  I've had to consider it a price to pay to be able to network and learn form other AR members.

I "report a concern" and follow it up with a copy fo the web address link in a message to the Raingods for removal.

I get so much span I cannot track it, but don't quite understand how the short sale scenario fits in with the overall post.
