This past week, we finally have seen our Tulips;
Not as many as years before;
Non of the other colors seen previously;
Small patches of Yellow-colored flower heads bending & moving into the rays of the sun;
This has been a difficult Spring for all our flowers; we have seen more in the areas South of us.
About 6 - 7 miles South and a tinsy-bit Westward--Sterling Heights to be exact on the place, there colorful displays of many Spring Flowers were seen.
There Reds, Fuschia, Red-tipped Yellows, & even some of the Royal Blues. Beautiful to see; Desirable to have here.
Even a Home across the street on the West side of Napoli Lane has multi colored flowers in bloom.
We, on the other hand, only saw the various Yellow combinations; Nature's choice--when left alone.
Though these do not rise to the level of Steve's and Roy's, here are our Macomb Co., Michigan spring Flowers--2011
This IS IT for our Home for this Spring. 11 Tulips on side island; 4 more in back year---ALL Yellow Hued.
Good to see that you have some spring flowers to enjoy. I'll be watching for your pictures and the weather gets warmer.
Life is better when there are flowers to photograph!
Roy...thanks; we usually do have a great Rose display--hopefully this year will provide--the growth does indicate some possibilities. Have a great weekend. Looking to planting Zinnias as annuals this year--love them.

Yes Barb spring is here a harbinger to beautiful flowers like yours that will delight the soul. It's a process as old as time. And as the cycle of the seasons change, spring into summer, summer into autumn, autumn into winter, isn't it nice to know that the seasons will never end?
Barb,
I really enjoy seeing and reading about MI. The flowers are beautiful... a well deserved reward after winter.
Best,
Steve
Barb, very pretty, reminds me of our wedding. We got married at the Swan Club, on the water and tulips were everywhere! Still one of my favorite flowers.
Dee..Spring is a happy time after the cold weather of Winter. I am glad that we live where we can experience all 4 Seasons. These15 Tulips have weathered the cold of 2010-2011 & have brought the nature-process to life. Am looking forward to Summer-time flowers. All that being said--know that we are still hoping to move to the South-East; maybe no Winter [as we know it] there, but I'll offer it up and get out our pictures. Thanks for your comment. Have a great weekend, Barb
Steve...Michigan has some good news coming [Gov.Snyder's Tax Plan has passed--waiting on research]. As for the flowers, yes they are pretty & those homes that are filled with spring blooms are spectacular to see.
Thanks for your comment. Have a great weekend.
Barb
Andrea...Yes. you are right! Spring is a great time. Today, we both saw two Robins--didn't see any last year at all. so glad that they are coming back to our area. Thanks for your comment. Have a great weekend.
Barb
Ellen...that must have been a beautiful Spring Wedding. Can see how Tulips could be a favorite flower. The scene you present of your Wedding suits you. How neat. Thanks for your comment. Have a great weekend.

Barb - you have to love spring and all the fresh green leaves and pretty flowers that, become such great photos, that cause runny noses, that cause red rimmed eyes
That simply look so great
Kathy....chronology ? complete---from Spring buds --to growth--to full flowers--to the appropriate medicinal product to avoid the nose & eye involvement. Presently, coughing, but that is due to grass cutting around the area yesterday & working with bags of stones to re-set our flagstone path. Still--it is looking good out there. Today is rain. Inside cleaning is on tap. Thanks for your comment. Have a great weekend.

Barb, I love tulips, I always think of my parents when money was tight my mother declared that she would prefer Tulips or Carnations over Roses to celebrate her Birthday. So it is extra special to me when I see Tulips bloom:))(May 15th in case you are wondering)
Endre...Happy Birthday to your Mom; how nice that she directed the "gift" to those flowers--I too live Carnations over all others. In the few days since posting, all our Tulips are gone for the year what with the winds, & rains that we are experiencing. We are so lucky through to ONLY have higher than desired winds and rain and not the problems of the South of our country. thanks for your comment. Have a good week.
