What's Wrong With This Picture?

ANSWER: Live Wire.

Okay. Not really sure why someone would take the time to write a note warning of a very dangerous situation as this, unless they just left the scene to walk to the electrical panel to disconnect the breaker serving this circuit. That would truly be the only justifiable excuse for leaving this situation unattended.

It goes without saying (but I'll say it anyway), natural gas and errant electricity don't mix!

An extremely potential 'explosive' situation exists and needs to be corrected immediately. Cutting power to the electrical circuit is mandatory, then routing the electrical wire to a junction box or capping and removing from this area would be next.  This is a situation that should not be ignored a moment longer.
