Ed,  Make a list of everyone you know...send them a letter/note, letting them know you are in the business.  Ask them for their help...  Call those people on the telephone ....ask them for their help...Work your spere of influence!  Best of Luck to you...Go full time when you can.

Hello Ed, I too started off as a part-time agent.  I would recomment that you cold-call at least two hours a day.  The hours that worked for me were 6-8 pm.  And hold open houses.

I hope this helps!

Ed, there is a lot of time that is involved in a full time Real Estate Agent position, you may want to create a niche and concentrate on a particular type of real estate to lessen the pressure

Go full time when you get the chance, but ubtil then get in front of as many people as you can. Knock on doors in aneighborhood. I can it a point to have at least 20 contacts a day.

Not to be a neigh sayer but, CEOs don't cold call.  If you were in need of a new dentist, would you go to one who put a door hangar on your door? Consider a referral program and tapping into your sphere.  I do a monthly email, quarterly mail out, and I make phone calls in between. Door knocking these days is not in good taste and it puts your home owner in a defensive mode - burglars, etc.
