What Does a Bridge Have to Do With Tranquility?

This bridge is part of the Glen Echo Park in Maryland. The park is a very popular place for kids and adults, offering children theaters, carousel, art classes, dancing, and many more great activities for all ages.

If you are a first time visitor to the park, this scene will probably surprise you. The large parking lot in front of the park does not hold much promise for what you experience next. But as you approach the bridge on this photo, the scenery is suddenly transformed from the asphalt field to this amazing display of nature. As you walk across this bridge to get to the park, the nature pulls you in and the feeling of tranquility takes over.

Elizabeth - You live in a beautiful area and I love this photo and love taking pictures of cool looking bridges. You should think about entering the photoblogging contest - although I don't think I'd want to compete with you - lol!

Elizabeth, that is a great picture, if the whole park is a scenic as the area around the bridge, I can see why it is a popular place!
