By far the best oceanview studio unit in the Fountain Beach Resort Condo-Hotel in the heart of Daytona Beach.
This 5th floor unit on the north side of the resort is in middle part of the building. A terrific remodeling job.
The Owner wanted to remodel and agreed when we offered to make it a model unit for other condo owners. Surprisingly (at least for us) the job took 2 months, though in part due to the fact that The Master had other commitments. Anyway, the unit is the combination of good craftsmanship (no corners cut), good design, nice fixtures, and decorative elements.
The unit is diagonally tiled, the bathroom is converted to a modern shower, modern clean sink with a nostalgic curve, it is tiled with inserts, light and cozy. Everything is changed including the plumbing, electric, some ceilings and walls. Kitchen is the same size, but looks more compact and open, creating a better space at the entrance.
The 149- room Fountain Beach Resort is located just next to the intersection of Atlantic Ave and International Speedway Blvd. This is the heart of Daytona Beach. Close proximity to Main Street wit all the events, Boardwalk, Convention Center, Peabody Auditorium, Ocean Walk Village with its shops and restaurants.
Renovated after the the hurricanes of 2004, new roof, new 220V electric for AC, extensive renovations to the lobby and the first floor.
Amenities are not that numerous: oceanfront pool with a hot tub, Oasis Bar and Tiki Bar, coin laundry, on-site management.
385 sf plus 49 sf balcony. Monthly Association fee: $310 (in 2010 is $344.50)
