Royal Poinciana Tree - Flamboyant - This is one of the most beautiful trees in Boca Raton, FL. The color is so vivid when it's in bloom. It has clusters of flame red flowers and the tree has an umbrella shape.

Elyse--What a beautiful tree and what a great shot! I am not familiar with this tree, but I know if I lived in a warmer climate, I would have to have five or six of these in my yard!!

I was reading this book of 101 things i must do before my children leave the house. One of them was to plant a family tree and take a picture every year with your child or children in front of the tree. SO I planted a royal poinciana tree about 2 years ago. It really looks great. Love those trees

Pat - It's a beautiful tree and they bloom in the spring. You'd need a large yard as these trees have quite a spread!
