One of the best things that I have found with the  Activerain network is often times we are lead to other great places on the web.

In September I joined Facebook, at first I thought it was quite silly.

Why, because I just had never been there before and I really didn't know what to do with it.

Everyday one of my contacts or friends has sent me right back to Facebook to use yet another application.

So what is Facebook?

"Facebook is a social utility that connects people with friends and others who work, study and live around them. People use Facebook to keep up with friends, upload an unlimited number of photos, share links and videos, and learn more about the people they meet."

Is is a great place to make contacts? I'd have to say yes!  My network there is growing.

Now to me the best part of facebook is getting to know your friends and contacts, it's a different type of interaction...to me it's fun.

Let's see Colleen sent me a super poke, David Podgursky is a super vampire and bit me and Julie dedicated a song to me.

Yes Jeff Turner knows his music and I made Julie Princess for the day.

It's quite different and will make you smile!

I seem to pick up vital information about people from these sources.

So here is some information that I would like to share.....

Today it's Julie Ferenzi's Birthday!

If you do no t know who Julie is, she was Jeff Turner's Apprentice in Project Blogger

Julie also is involved in a variety of charities.

She is a wife and mother and fun, fun, fun!

Julie specialized in single family residential real estate in the north side of Chicago and most of it's suburbs in Will, Cook and Du Page Counties.

One of the things I admire about Julie is her love to help...to provide service...that must be why she specializes in foreclosure services. Now that is a true service.

So Julie, Happy Birthday!

I hope one day we will meet face to face. I appreciate the interactions that we have.

Remember you are not getting older....you are getting better....that's right like fine wine!

I'm still trying to figure out Facebook. I keep getting poked and someone actually threw food at me yesterday. LOL

Facebook is an incredible site. Met some great people there and is a good source to advertise your properties for sale.

Midori!  Thank you so much!!! What a great birthday surprise!!!!

Thanks for the birthday wishes guys!!!

You know, it's nice your mom calls you on your birthday or your husband gives you a card... but all of these happy birthdays and this awesome birthday tribute give me the birthday butterflies I used to get when I was a kid.

Thanks for bringing the magic back to me this year!

XOXOX,
Julie

Al-ahhh, its fun and people connect from all over the world.

Robert-that is a great idea..Didn't look at like that and still have lots to learn...

Charlie-well I am married too!  My husband is right there with me!  It's a great source for contacts.

Ok Missy-I have to spill the beans.  I either find out here on the rain from a comment I spot or someone will send me an e-mail to let me know it's someone's birthday, I have found out from facebook, myspace, linkend and plaxo....I believe if I am supposed to know...somehow someway I find out about it!

Diane-you will like it and have fun with it.

Lysa-read the comment to Missy.....

Hi Ann-hope you read Missy's comment...I just seem to spot the birthdays.

Nancy-its fun...still have to spruce up my profile.  So many networks...so little time!

Julie-I am happy your day...felt special...because it is and so are you!

Sounds very fun and interesting.  Exactly why I'm afraid to take a look!  It's so easy to get immersed and addicted to these online communities.  Is this going to be another thing that ends up getting me in trouble?

It has been my experience that what Midori Miller predicts will be a successful marketing tool proves to be just that. I'm checking out "facebook".

Thanks for the info.  I appreciate it when people talk about the networking sites.

10/11/2007 01:39 PM by Rob Gerichs (RE/MAX Honolulu)

I'm still avoiding it although my wife has joined up.  Now that I'm on AR I think it might be a little easier to get on Facebook.  Do you put personal and family pictures up?  I'm still leary about putting kids pics on the web.  THanks for the post again.  This kind of dovetails with your post on technology and customer service which I'm going to use with my truck team members.
