In this week's Atlanta Business Chronicle, there is an article about the number of homes for sale by banks. The article says that banks here in Atlanta have 12,309 foreclosed properties in the five county metro.
The total number of homes for sale is 71,148, so you can see that this is an abnormally high percentage. Here is the link to the article.
This situation certainly is good news for some and bad news for others. For owners facing foreclosure, this can be a rough situation. There are ways to avoid foreclosure, such as short sales or quick listing sales.
