Recently, my wife and I were introduced to the Realtor.com iPad search app. All sorts of wonderful features, however, the one feature that stands out as having the greatest potential is the Area Scout feature. See the first video demo below. The other day, we were with clients and turned this feature on and as we drove through the neighborhood, houses for sale simply popped up and presented themselves to all of us.

Kind of a game changer, wouldn't ya think?

Technology is changing so fast it is really amazing. This will be a great tool if it works well. Would love to see the map pinpoint your location, or customize it to where you at. Then show the surrounding homes and data and move with you as you move. My hunch is it already does that(?) or it will be coming.

Yes it very amazing. And yes Kathleen, with GPS enabled on your iPad the map pinpoints your location and follows you showing you the homes that are available for sale.

Zillow and Trulia have similar apps, and while Trulia is very good Zillow's is kinda bad. Zillow offer too much unnecessary information like their stupid Zestimates.

Joe, that IS a game changer indeed. At some point this year I will buckle and get the ipad. =) I have resisted Apple for many, many years. But this is just too cool.

We've resisted also. Within the last month we have purchased an iPad as wall as a MacBook. I'm getting tired of all the problems I have with my PC, and have heard folks are simply not having the problems we PC users are having.
